This is the minimum 40-hr course required for entry level employment as a wildland firefighter with Chloeta or any NWCG agency.  Chloeta recruits will be provided a code to register for free at the time of hiring.  Upon successful course completion participants will receive certificates for S-130 Basic Wildland Firefighter, S-190 Intro to Wildland Fire Behavior and L-180 Human Factors in the Wildland Fire Service.  Students MUST complete the mandatory pre-course training of ICS-100 and IS-700 at the following links and email their certificates to training@chloeta.com no later than one week prior to this training course beginning.

The final day of the course will consist of a Field Day and the Arduous Duty Work Capacity Test (aka “pack test”) which consists of walking three (3) miles in less forty-five (45) minutes with a forty-five (45) pound pack on.
