Joel Dean’s Story

Joel Dean, Chloeta’s Catastrophe Command Center Manager, oversees a diverse team of professional dispatchers, data analysts, GIS technicians and meteorologists. Everyone we have working in the CAT Command Center is an expert or master in their craft.

Information collected and analyzed in the CAT Command Center is communicated to our Wildland Fire team in the field so that they know what communities are being threatened and where to begin their mitigation work. The goal is that if a fire were to reach someone’s home, hopefully the actions we took prevents that home from being damaged or lost. Saving a home takes collaborative effort from every department. Chloeta puts a pretty good emphasis on making sure that the right people end up in the right jobs.

“Chloeta did a great job of propping me up and trusting me with a pretty huge responsibility. That said a lot to me.” Chloeta’s CAT Command Center is something we are very proud of. You can feel that sense of pride radiating from everyone that is involved.

“I am very excited to see the program, company and people grow.”

Jonah Smith’s Story

Jonah, a battalion chief at Chloeta, proudly serves as a wildland firefighter. In his career he has spent a great deal of time in the field combating wildfires. He reflects on his time spent in fighting New Mexico’s largest wildfire in history, Calf Canyon, where he dedicated all of his time to being in the field in every state west of the Mississippi.

When a fire has occurred, upon getting a dispatch, Chloeta Wildland Fire Division will travel into the fire and start assessing structures. Once assessment has been completed, mitigation of the properties will be conducted. In the field we have great leadership and firefighters that can depend on each other.

Being a leader at Chloeta, Jonah has a desire to provide the knowledge to create new generations of leadership in the field. We value our firefighters and want to provide growth opportunities through dedicated service, wildfire mitigation, and building trust in the communities we serve.

“I’m thrilled at what is coming next here at Chloeta!”

Rechawnda Love’s Story

Rechawnda started with Chloeta as a senior accountant. She was transferred to the contract management department when we discovered that she had a background in contracting. We honed in on her experience and believed she would fit in perfectly with the contracting team.

At Chloeta, it isn't uncommon for members of our team to move into different positions. We take pride in helping our employees reach their maximum potential. We work with you to capitalize on your strengths and help you in improving upon your weaknesses. By providing our employees with the right tools and training we believe that we are setting each other up for success.

"When you build a foundation of the right people in the right places you have nowhere to go but up."

Jo Kephart’s Story

Jo’s career at Chloeta began as a contractor, but she quickly grew into one of our key Business Development leaders. We pinpointed Jo’s strengths and utilized her skillset to best support our team. Through her tenure here, she has been incredibly influential in the growth of our Healthcare business vertical.

Now, in her day-to-day she closely communicates with contracting officers, reviews contract solicitations, and works with our Recruiting team to allocate resources to ensure the success of awarded contracts.

A story like Jo’s doesn’t happen overnight, and it doesn’t happen by accident - Chloeta focuses on creating an environment where we provide our employees with support, guidance, and opportunities.

“If you come in and show that you are capable, competent, and passionate about what you’re doing, there will be opportunities for you to excel.”

Troy German’s Story

Troy served 22 years on the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, specializing in incident response. Chloeta’s intense focus on safety, making a positive impact for our clients, and always doing the next right thing are what drove him to join our team.

Like Troy, several of his team members have 20+ years of experience in their fields. This allows them to lean on each other for support, collaborate, and learn from one another.

Troy is dedicated to working with people who exhibit leadership and have likeminded core values, where you look out for one another to ensure the success and safety of those around you.

“I’m very excited about where we’re going. The vision and mission doesn’t stop. We’re always looking to do the right thing and to grow, considering who else we can help and serve.”

Alex Combow’s Story

Alex Combow is an integral part of our team at Chloeta. Over his 7 years at the company, he has worked his way from wildland firefighting into his newest role of Project Manager Assistant.

As a Project Manager Assistant, Alex is involved in the full life cycle of his team's contracts, from start to finish. He is often a liaison between the client and the personnel in the field. He specializes in creating and executing a plan that works for everyone and not only gets the job done, but gets it done safely and efficiently.

We share the sentiment that every person on the team has contributed to Chloeta’s success. We are grateful to have found people, like Alex, that know and understand our vision. Alex has been a key contributor in getting Chloeta where we are today, and we are looking forward to having him on the team as we make plans for our future.

“When we come to work every day, we all work together as a team towards the same goal. I’m excited to contribute to that.”
